MARIANA ISABEL NUNEZ

My name is Mariana Nuñez, I am a graduate of the University of the Pacific, class of 2021. I was born in raised in Stockton and have grown up very close to Pacific, so I feel very happy to have the opportunity to stay close to home and study at a university which I have aspired to my whole life.

 

I received a B.F.A in Studio Art as well as a minor in Spanish. I feel very fortunate to have a family who supports me so strongly in doing what I love. Through their encouragement, as well as the encouragement of so many others I’ve met along the way, I realized early on that art didn’t just have to be my hobby, it could be my career.

I come from a Mexican-American family, and have been privileged enough to travel between both countries throughout my childhood. Both places are home to me. But here in the U.S., I am the first of my family to pursue a bachelor's degree (and hopefully in the near future, a master’s degree).
